Tracey Buot is excited to begin her first year as Director of Theatre at Roswell High School.
With over 30 years of experience in arts and education, Tracey has led vibrant award-winning
theatre programs across Georgia, directing a wide range of productions from classics to
contemporary works. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes building student voice, confidence,
and creativity through collaborative, meaningful theatre experiences. She is thrilled to continue
that journey with the talented and enthusiastic students at Roswell.

Mrs. Buot joined the Roswell faculty in 2024, teaching English Language Arts and coordinating
the GHSA Literary Team, Poetry Out Loud, and the English-Speaking Union Shakespeare
Monologue Competition. She currently serves as co-chair of the School Governance Council and
remains an active advocate for arts and literacy both within the school and beyond.

She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Performance from the University of Virginia and earned both
a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from
the University of Florida. Mrs. Buot is a dedicated member of several professional organizations,
including the Educational Theatre Association, Georgia Thespians, and the American Alliance
for Theatre and Education. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the High School Network for the
American Alliance for Theatre and Education and as At-Large Chair for the Georgia Council of
Teachers of English.

Outside the classroom and theatre, Mrs. Buot enjoys spending time with her husband, their two
adult sons, and their two mischievous rescue beagles. She is honored to work with the talented
students and supportive families at Roswell High School and looks forward to an inspiring year
of theatre.
